Auto Shut Off

You do not need to turn off your Tesla, after parking, and the car will automatically go to sleep mode similar to a laptop.

"Park Itself" Feature

Model X and S provide a feature where by merely using an app, you can request your car to park itself automatically in the garage and pick you un in the morning.

Software Updates

All of the Teslas' updates are available over built-in WiFi and will update with a touch of a button just like any computer.

Supercharging Network

Tesla has developed a vast network of supercharging stations throughout the world, including some that are free. The supercharging station provides a re-charge option that takes 30 min or less.

Bio-hazard Protection

Tesla Model S and X offer a unique HEPA air filtration system, which is designed to stop harmful viruses (comes in handy nowadays) from entering the cabin. Medical-grade air is delivered to the occupants inside the car.

Model E Patent Controversy

Telsa Motors has abandoned its application to trademark its next-generation Model E electric car, all due to Ford Motors filling a similar patent months later.

Self Driving Tech

In October 2016, Tesla Motors announced that all of the upcoming production would include self-driving technology. Cameras would provide a panoramic vision fully functional in extreme conditions like heavy rain, fog, and dust.

Open Source Innovation

In 2014, Elon Musk declared that all of Tesla Motors' patent information would be open source. ‘If we do create irresistible vehicles, but place intellectual property landmines to repel others, we are actually acting to contradict our own goal.’

$465 Million Loan

Soon after going public in 2009, Tesla Motors was awarded a grant from the Advanced Technology Vehicle Manufacturing loan program under president Barak Obama. The company repaid the entire loan in 2013 nine years earlier than the payment deadline.

Tesla Was Almost Sold to Google

Elon Musk almost sold Tesla Motors to Larry Page, all due to lousy capital health caused by severe defects in the new product line-up. After a significant restructure and firing senior staff members, he was able to turn the company around.
